So, West Ham United’s pre-season preparations are now over and the real work begins with a small case of the Premier League champions Manchester City visiting the London Stadium this weekend.
The Hammers played six friendlies across the course of the campaign, winning three against Altach, Fulham and Hertha Berlin and losing just as many against Saturday’s opponents Man City, Newcastle United and Athletic Bilbao.
There were plenty of positives to take though, and a few new faces on display following a positive summer transfer window including Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals.
