West Ham make reported €15m Maripan bid

West Ham have reportedly made a bid of €15million for Deportivo Alaves defender Guillermo Maripan.

The Chile international has been linked with a move to the London Stadium this summer following his impressive season with the La Liga outfit in the 2018/19 campaign.

And according to Sport Witness, via Spanish outlet Diario OK, the Hammers have submitted a bid of €15million as they look to complete their fourth signing of the summer.

The report suggests that West Ham have already seen a bid of €11.6million for Maripan rejected by Alaves, though the La Liga side denied any approach from the Hammers.

Manuel Pellgrini is in the midst of overhauling his squad ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, and has already completed the signings of Sebastien Haller, Pablo Fornals and goalkeeper Roberto.

The Hammers could face competition in the race to sign the defender, however, with the report suggesting that Maripan’s agent has received offers from two clubs.
