West Ham are reportedly set to activate Moussa Marega’s release clause in the coming weeks.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, cited by Inside Futbol, the Hammers, along with fellow Premier League side Newcastle United, are preparing to trigger the FC Porto striker’s €30 million release clause.

The Mali international scored 21 times for Porto last season, with Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero the only two players who scored more than Marega in last years Champions League.
Marega has been linked with a move to the London Stadium earlier in the window before Manuel Pellegrini added Sebastien Haller to his attacking ranks.
However, with Pellegrini still fairly light in terms of striker options, a move for Marega could well gather pace in the coming weeks.
Bringing the 28-year-old to London would be a further statement of intent by the Hammers, with Pablo Fornals and Haller already completing big-money moves to the club.
