West Ham are reportedly in the race to sign Neal Maupay from Brentford.
According to claims from Sky Sports, Manuel Pellegrini’s side are among a clutch of clubs who are pursuing the Frenchman.
Maupay was in fine form for Brentford last season, and as such, has attracted interest from several top-flight clubs, with West Ham noted as potential suitors.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a prolific campaign in the Championship. He led the line for the Bees and found the back of the net 25 times, contributing with a further eight assists.

Brentford played Dynamo Kiev on Saturday but opted to withdraw Maupay from their squad as a consequence of the ongoing scrutiny that continues to surround his future at Griffin Park.
West Ham are intent on adding to their attacking options this summer, but if they are to pursue the £20 million-rated forward, they will face competition from elsewhere.
Newly-promoted Premier League duo Aston Villa and Sheffield United are keen, according to Sky Sports, while Brighton and Hove Albion are also said to be in the hunt for his signature.
