Serie A club Sassuolo have entered the race to sign West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang, according to reports.
Tuttomercatoweb claim that the Italian outfit will make progress in the next few days for the former Sampdoria man, who looks likely to move on from the London Stadium this summer.
Sassuolo join Bologna in registering an interest in the Spaniard, while Fiorentina had a £10million bid rejected in January and could return with another offer this summer.

With Pablo Fornals’ signing, West Ham have added further competition in midfield, with Obiang likely to be the one to slip further down the pecking order. Should Jack Wilshere and Manuel Lanzini not suffer any major injury issues this season, Obiang’s minutes will be even more restricted.
Selling Obiang would increase West Ham’s war chest this summer, with Manuel Pellegrini keen to strengthen his club’s options ahead of the upcoming season.
