Bologna have reportedly initiated contact with West Ham United as they pursue a deal for Pedro Obiang.
The Serie A club are believed to be intent on adding the midfielder to their squad this summer, and according to claims from Sportitalia, as cited in a report from Inside Futbol, the first steps are being taken to secure a move.
Bologna are looking to add to their squad and have identified Obiang as the ideal candidate to bolster their options in the middle of the park, it seems.

Manuel Pellegrini utilised the former Sampdoria star sparingly throughout his maiden campaign in English football, with the likes of Declan Rice and Mark Noble preferred to him in midfield.
Obiang could, therefore, be heading back to Italy this summer, and Bologna are clearly pushing to sign him ahead of other potential suitors.
The Serie A club’s sporting director Walter Sabatini has reportedly identified him as a top midfield target this summer, but should they fail to recruit the Hammers star, Velez Sarsfield man Nicolas Dominguez is understood to be an option.
