West Ham United could face competition from Boca Juniors in their pursuit of West Brom striker Salomon Rondon.
The Hammers have long been linked with a move to sign the Venezuela international, who earned plaudits for his displays on loan at Newcastle United throughout the course of last season.
Recent reports have indicated that Manuel Pellegrini’s side are leading the race to complete a deal for Rondon, who is unlikely to remain at West Brom this summer.

However, new competition from across the globe could be developing. Spanish news outlet Marca claims that Argentine giants Boca Juniors have expressed an interest in possibly recruiting the experienced attacker.
Dario Benedetto’s time in South America could be drawn to a close this summer, with Marseille pursuing a deal for the striker.
If the Boca star is to depart and seek pastures new away from Argentina, it seems the club have already made contingency plans, with West Ham target Rondon among those under consideration.
