West Ham look set to rival Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa in the race to sign former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill on a free transfer this summer.
The former England captain will leave the Blues when his contract expires next month, after making just eight appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season.
And according to the Daily Star, the Hammers are poised to rival the Premier League trio in their pursuit of Cahill this summer.

West Ham could have an advantage over Villa given Cahill’s preference to move to another London club, but it remains to be seen whether he would be a regular starter under Manuel Pellegrini.
The Chilean has had a busy summer thus far, allowing Adrian, Andy Carroll and Samir Nasri all to leave the club upon their respective contract expiries next month, while the Hammers boss has also seen both Lucas Perez and Edimilson Fernandes depart.
Cahill would become Pellegrini’s fourth signing of the summer should the Hammers boss pursue a move for the defender, after signing Pablo Fornals, David Martin and Roberto.
