West Ham are reportedly considering a move for AS Roma’s Maxime Gonalons, while Everton have also been linked with a move for the midfielder.
The Frenchman spent last season on loan with Sevilla in La Liga, but made just 13 appearances in all competitions as the 30-year-old endured a torrid time with injury.
Despite his time on the sidelines last season, Sport Witness suggest via Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport that West Ham and Everton are both eyeing a move for the midfielder, with the Hammers the more “willing” of the two sides to pursue a move.

Gonalons is said to be valued at a fee between €4m-€5million, and the Frenchman would become the Hammers’ second midfielder signing of the summer after confirming the capture of Spaniard Pablo Fornals earlier this month.
West Ham have also seen five players leave the club thus far, with Edimilson Fernandes and Lucas Perez both being sold to Mainz and Deportivo Alaves respectively, while Samir Nasri, Adrian and Andy Carroll have all been released.
