West Ham look set to rival Tottenham in the pursuit of Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, as the Ligue 1 side look to reduce their wage bill.
Sanson enjoyed a fine season for the French side in the 2018/19 campaign, scoring give goals and creating four assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
And according to Sport Witness via French outlet La Provence, both West Ham and Spurs are eyeing a move for the midfielder this summer, with the Hammers reportedly the keener of the two sides.

Marseille are said to be keen on offloading the midfielder, amongst others, in order to try and reduce their wage bill which would then allow them to bring in a number of new signings.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have previously been linked with a move for Sanson, however they are not named in La Provence’s report, which suggests West Ham are the side most interested in a move for the midfielder.
