West Ham transfer target Yann M’Vila would only leave Saint-Etienne if manager Jean Louis Gasset also departed, according to reports.
The Hammers had been linked with a move for the French midfielder, who had previously spent time on loan with Sunderland in the Premier League.
Now with Saint-Etienne in France’s Ligue 1, the 28 year old former France international claimed that he would leave the club if they sacked head coach Gasset.

As reported by Foot Mercato, poorly translated on Chrome, M’Vila said of his time with Saint-Etienne:
I am very happy here, of everything. I feel fulfilled in the field. This is happiness.
The icing on the cake would be to achieve something grandiose like the Champions League. It would be a feat, even a miracle.
When asked about his whether he could leave this summer, with transfer speculation mounting, M’Vila said:
I do not know, but a lot of things are going on internally, which I might not find with a new coach.
He’s the one who brought me here. If he is brought to leave, I think I will leave too.
