West Ham might not be mathematically eliminated from the race for seventh place, but it would be a tall order for Manuel Pellegrini’s side to leapfrog four other teams to secure Europa League football.
However, that isn’t stopping the Hammers trying to finish the campaign strong.
With an intriguing match against Southampton looming this weekend, the Irons have received an injury boost with the news that both Samir Nasri and Manuel Lanzini will be available come 3pm this weekend.
This will be welcomed by West Ham fans who have at times been subjected to a team lacking creativity this year, and Nasri and Lanzini will be sure to add an element of artistry to the squad.

The Argentine Lanzini has worked his way back into the first-team picture gradually after recovering from a serious knee injury, and free agent signing Nasri has struggled mightily to stay fit after putting pen to paper back in January.
Whether we’ll see either of them in the starting XI on Saturday is as yet unknown, but you have to think they get a chance to take to the pitch at some point.
