After such a successful summer transfer window last time out, West Ham are hoping to follow it up with another strong performance at the negotiating table this time around.
One of their most prominent transfer targets seems to be Guillermo Maripan of Deportivo Alaves, with interest being ‘firmed up’ by the Irons according to a HITC article relaying a Football London report.
Being cut down by injury in March, the 24-year-old had been a key pillar of his side’s success, making 23 La Liga appearances in a season that has Alaves on in with a chance of Europa League qualification.

Despite having a £23 million release clause, the same HITC article claims that the central defender will be available for as little as £10 million.
Manuel Pellegrini is said to be scouting possible replacements for Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna, who have suffered from repeated injury and suspect performances respectively in recent months.
