Manchester United are ready to “break the bank” in order to secure a summer transfer for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, according to a report from Kevin Palmer.
Rice only recently signed a new contract at West Ham, one that pays him £30,000-a-week and lasts until 2024, but there seems to be an acceptance from the club that they’ll allow the newly-capped England star to leave if a top six side comes in with a big offer.

According to Palmer’s report, West Ham are ‘braced’ for a bid for Rice, who they’ll look to get at least £50m for from.
Man United are apparently keen to bring down the average age of their squad by letting some older players leave to be replaced with Europe’s best youngsters, and they think Rice falls into that category.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, now he’s been appointed as the permanent Man United boss, is already working on a list of targets and Rice’s name is apparently on that list, along with Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
