Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp says Aaron Mooy would be a good signing for Hammers this summer.
Mooy is expected to leave Huddersfield Town in the summer following their relegation to the Championship and Redknapp believes that he’d be a good addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s squad at the London Stadium.
Speaking to Australian outlet the World Game, Redknapp tipped Mooy to make a return to the Premier League at the end of the season.
He said:
Teams like the West Ham’s and Newcastle’s would be a good fit for [Mooy]. No disrespect, he’s probably not going to be on the radar of a Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham but he could certainly do a top job for any one of those next tier of teams in the league who are looking for quality in the middle of the park.
TWG report that The Terriers will be looking for around £14.5m for the 28-year-old, who they paid £10m for back in 2017 after a successful loan spell from Manchester City.
West Ham aren’t short of midfield options so it remains to be seen if the Hammers make a move for the Australian international in the summer.
