Manuel Pellegrini is under no illusion as to Declan Rice’s West Ham future.
The defensive midfielder has enjoyed a terrific season at the London Stadium, his performances earning him an England call-up in addition to glowing reviews from scouts, pundits, and fans alike.
However, Pellegrini has admitted it might be hard to hang on to the 20-year-old beyond this season.

Quoted by the Guardian, the Chilean tactician said:
In that case, as always, it is just a matter of price.
There are big teams who decide to pay an important amount of money. Sure, if it is a good deal for the club and the player and improves his career, then we can do it. But I know nothing about that yet.
There aren’t many clubs that Rice could go to in the Premier League that could be considered ‘bigger’ than West Ham, but it seems that if an offer comes in at a certain figure, Hammers bosses won’t think twice.
