Robert Snodgrass has been charged by the Football Association after the midfielder allegedly abused anti-doping officials, Reuters have reported.
The incident is said to have occurred at West Ham’s training ground in early February when Snodgrass was alleged to have used verbally offensive words towards officials from UK anti-doping.
The 31-year-old, who signed for the Hammers in January 2017 for a fee of around £10million, could be fined £8,000 and banned for one match should he admit the charge.
Earlier on Monday, the FA released a statement revealing:
Robert Snodgrass has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3(1). It is alleged the player used abusive and/or insulting words towards UK anti-doping officials who were visiting West Ham United’s training ground on 06 February 2019 to conduct out-of-competition testing.

Snodgrass featured for West Ham in their 2-0 victory over Newcastle on Saturday evening, assisting Declan Rice from a corner for the Hammers’ opening goal.
The Scotland international has until March 18th to respond to the charge.
