Manuel Pellegrini has called for any fans who were involved in abusing Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on Monday to be banned swiftly.
Following the 1-1 draw at the London Stadium, footage emerged that showed the Egypt international taking a corner while having racial abuse hurled at him.
The clip specifically referenced his religious background, as well as a number of expletives.

In response to the clip, the Hammers promised to find the fans responsible and ban them from the club’s stadium, with the Chilean coach backing the club’s firm stance.
Talking about the incident, as quoted by the East London and West Essex Guardian, Pellegrini said:
Of course I think that cannot happen in the stadium. The best way to manage those things out of the game is to remove them from the great spectacle that is the Premier League.
We must have high standards and when this happen, you must take action. The club knows how to work and says it cannot accept these kind of things in the game.
It was a very good game and everybody was enjoying the game, so these people must be punished as soon as we can.
