West Ham defender Issa Diop rejected the chance to join Manchester City before making the move to London.
According to Les Violets, the Premier League champions had an agreement in place with the Toulouse to sign the defender, but it was Diop himself who turned the move down.
The Frenchman would go on to join West Ham for a club-record fee of £22 million, where regular game time was far more likely, compared to at Manchester City.

Like NAC Breda in the Eredivise, Toulouse are one of a number of clubs that City have grown close to over the years, in similar partnerships to Chelsea and Vitesse.
The Frenchman was very well thought of back in France and Manchester City’s interest shows just how highly he was rated.
Diop has impressed since arriving in London and the Hammers could well struggle to keep hold of the player going forward.
