West Ham have enquired about a deal to sign Oliver Giroud on loan from Chelsea for the remainder of the season.
According to the Daily Mail, Giroud has rejected the chance to move to the Chinese Super League.
The striker’s future at Chelsea has been thrown into doubt following the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain, who joined on loan from Juventus.
Giroud had failed to break into Sarri’s plans during the first half of the season, but the arrival of Higuain only cements his place out of the first-team picture at Stamford Bridge.

Wolves and Lyon are also among Giroud’s admirers, with Higuain’s arrival at Stamford Bridge alerting a number of clubs.
West Ham are keen to strengthen in the final third and the report claims that a deal to bring in Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo is rumbling on.
Staying at Chelsea has not yet been ruled out at this stage, despite the fact Giroud faces a spell of limited game time.
