It wasn’t too long ago when Manuel Lanzini was regarded by a lot of West Ham fans as the best player at the club and despite the investments that the club have made in players over the summer, the Argentine’s absence has definitely been felt.
Therefore, the news, as reported by the Evening Standard, that the 25-year-old has returned to training should come as a major boost to everybody connected to the club.

Lanzini suffered a serious knee injury whilst he was away on international duty at a training camp with Argentina prior to the World Cup.
The forward ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and he had to get it surgically repaired, meaning he’s missed the entire 2018/19 season up to this point.
Whilst he is still a while away from returning to full first-team training, he was able to complete the warm-up with the rest of his teammates for the first time on Wednesday evening as his rehabilitation program stepped up.
