West Ham look like they have missed out on the chance to sign Josh Maja from Sunderland.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, the striker has agreed a join to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
Maja has been attracting interest from the likes of West Ham, Middlesbrough and Celtic in recent weeks.

Teams in France and Germany have also been credited with an interest in the League One forward.
Maja looked destined to leave Sunderland this month as he prepared to enter the final few months of his contract.
Recent reports suggested that West Ham had made contact with the player’s agent and were even willing to loan the striker back to Sunderland until the end of the season.
Unfortunately for Sunderland, Maja is now expected to join up with Bordeaux straight away, rather than spend the rest of the campaign fighting for promotion back to the Championship.
