West Ham have reportedly made a last-minute offer to try and sign Mario Balotelli from OGC Nice.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Carlo Laudisa, as cited on Get French Football News, the Hammers have entered the race to sign the Italian striker.
Balotelli had been expected to complete a move to join Marseille, but they are now facing late competition from the Premier Leauge side.
The former Manchester City and Liverpool striker has rejuvenated his career in France and has impressed with Nice in recent years.

However, after scoring 43 goals over the course of two seasons in France, the Italian is yet to find the back of the net this term.
Pellegrini will know all about Balotelli’s time in the Premier League from his days managing Manchester City, although the two never worked together at the Etihad.
Balotelli left the Premier League just months before Pellegrini was first appointed in Manchester.
