Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that marquee summer signing Felipe Anderson could be doing better in his first season in the Premier League.
The winger has one goal and one assist to show for his first ten Premier League appearances, in what has been a pedestrian start to life in England.
Signed from Lazio for £36 million, the forward was expected to bring his direct style of attacking football to the London Stadium, terrifying opposing full-backs all the while.
Although we have seen some of that terror-inducing ability, the general consensus seems to suggest Pellegrini could be doing more.

Included in that mode of thought is Anderson’s manager, Pellegrini.
Quoted by the Evening Standard, the Chilean boss said:
In a way, I am not happy,
I think Felipe is not happy, I think everyone is not happy. He has demonstrated he can do more.
He has good moments in games, bad moments as well but he is not the first player who will need some time to adapt to the Premier League.
Patience may be required, Hammers fans. West Ham have started the Premier League campaign in a volatile fashion, with the Irons faithful unsure which side will turn up on any given match-day.
