West Ham have entered the race to sign Edin Dzeko from Roma and hope to boost their chances by offering the player a role off the pitch when he retires.
According to Calciomercato, as cited on Football Italia, the player has recently completed a degree in sports management as he begins to prepare for life after his playing career.
At the age of 34, Dzeko is reaching the latter stages of his career, but could still make one more move before calling time on his playing days.
The Bosnian international is being heavily linked with a move back to the Premier League, with reports claiming Southampton and Cardiff are interested in signing him.

Chelsea were heavily linked with the player last season, but he opted to remain in Roma.
Dzeko has been one of the more consistent strikers in Europe since moving to Roma, where he has impressed in both the Champions League and Serie A.
