Javier Hernandez is back in training after suffering a bout of glandular fever, but is still a doubt for Friday night’s trip to Brighton.
The Mexican forward has been out of action for over a month now, with his last appearance coming during West Ham’s 1-0 home defeat to Wolves.
Elsewhere in the West Ham attacking ranks, Andy Carroll will need more time to recover from the ankle injury he sustained in the preseason, in the words of manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Colossal Austrian and all-round alpha-dog Marko Arnautovic has been successfully shouldering the teams striking burdens in recent weeks, with four goals in six Premier League appearances so far this season.
Michail Antonio has been included as another striking option, but is yet to hit the back of the net in the Premier League.
The return of Hernandez and eventually Carroll will go a long way to easing the fears of Irons fans that the club was in the midst of an injury crisis.
