Fiorentina midfielder Carlos Sanchez has reportedly flown into London overnight to undergo a medical with West Ham.
Sam Inkersole of Football London reports that the Hammers are confident of getting a deal over the line before Thursday’s deadline, with the Colombian closing in on his Premier League return.
Lucas Perez is set to be announced as a West Ham player from Arsenal, with a deal to sign Sanchez likely to conclude their summer business.
Both West Ham and West Brom had been linked with a move for Sanchez, with the player’s future appearing to be away from Fiorentina.
The player spent time on loan at Espanyol last season.
The move to West Ham will be Sanchez’s second stint in the Premier League after a mixed spell with Aston Villa prior to his move to Fiorentina.
The 32-year-old was part of the Colombia squad at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
