The future of West Ham United starlet Sam Byram remains unclear, with the transfer window closing at 5pm tomorrow, the Evening Standard reports.
Championship side Nottingham Forest are thought to be leading the race to sign the 24-year-old, however there are several other potential suitors lining up to sign the youngster.
Byram signed for the Hammers back in 2016 from Leeds United, but has had his time with the London club hampered by injury.
The defender is right down the pecking order at the Hammers, with Manuel Pellegrini having already completed the signing of right-back Ryan Fredericks from Fulham this summer, as well as having Pablo Zabaleta at his dispense.
Despite all permanent deals having to be completed by 5pm tomorrow, EFL clubs can still sign players on loan up until August 31st.
Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka spoke about Byram earlier this week.
He is one on the list. He is a West Ham player and we are not in a hurry. We have another few days to try to buy someone and another two or three weeks to try and bring someone in on loan.
