West Ham are said to be confident about their chances of signing Chelsea and Milan target Bernard this summer.
Lee Clayton on the Daily Mail reports that the Hammers believe that the Brazilian could be on his way to the Premier League.
Both Milan and Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian, who is a free agent after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk this summer.

The player is said to be keen on playing in the Premier League and the idea of working with new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri appeals to him, but Milan had previously been credited as his most likely destination.
Bernard has held talks with both Chelsea and Milan and is awaiting further talks from new Milan technical director Leonardo as he ponders his next move.
The Hammers have already strengthened in the final third this summer with the signings of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko, while they are also looking to sign another striker.
