West Ham are ready to pay the release clause of West Brom defender Ahmed Hegazi, according to Football Insider.
The Egyptian appeared in every single Baggies Premier League game last year, but could not prevent their relegation to the Championship.
Impressive at the heart of the West Brom defence, however, the 27-year-old has used the World Cup as an opportunity to raise his profile further.

Such is his reputation, Hegazi is now being linked with a move away from the Hawthorns just a year after arriving.
Signing from Al Alhy of the Egyptian Premier League, West Brom inserted a £10 million release clause into the centre back’s contract – something new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is supposedly interested in triggering.
Having signed the youthful Issa Diop in this transfer window, the introduction of Hegazi would grant a far more experienced presence in the heart of the Hammers’ defences.
Standing at 6’4, Hegazi’s physical frame presents a traditionally physical challenge to opposing strikers.
