West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Bernard, report Football Insider.
The Brazilian’s contract at Shakhtar Donetsk is set to expire at the end of the month, and the Ukrainians are unlikely to strike a new deal with the 25-year-old before the July 1 deadline.
New Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini had reportedly tried to sign Bernard when he was in charge of Hebei China Fortune, and will now try again.
The winger stands at a diminutive 5′ 5″, but has showed terrific agility and pace to this point in his career.

Having received 14 Brazil caps since 2012, the wide-man has established a reputation that he feels will lead to several high-profile European teams vying for his services as he enters free agency.
Bernard made 29 appearances for Shakhtar last season, continuing to be one of manager Paulo Fonseca’s favourite options down the flank.
Moving to Europe in 2013 from Atletico Mineiro, Bernard will draw to a close his five year stay in Ukraine.
A move to the London Stadium may well be the next step for the three-time Ukrainian League-winner, should Pellegrini tempt him to join the Irons.
