David Moyes’ primary objective during the January transfer window was to recruit a central midfielder and while he was able to bring in Joao Mario from Inter Milan on loan, he failed to land his two top targets.
One of the players Moyes was looking to recruit was Bournemouth’s Harry Arter after losing Pedro Obiang to a season-ending knee injury in January.
Arter has been a mainstay in the Bournemouth side throughout their rise to the Premier League and the Republic of Ireland international is highly-regarded on the south coast.

The 28-year-old signed a new four-year contract with the Cherries last July and Eddie Howe was not prepared to lose the midfielder to a fellow relegation rival during the January transfer window.
According to the Express, Moyes remains keen on signing Arter once the summer window opens in June and will submit a £10m bid to prise him away from Bournemouth.
West Ham are expected to make a number of additions in midfield this summer with Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker still on the clubs radar.
