David Moyes was brought in on a deal which runs until the end of the 2017/18 season after Slaven Bilic was sacked, and Moyes’ top priority was to guide the Hammers to Premier League safety.
While things in the bottom half remain extremely tight, West Ham sit in 12th place and have enjoyed a real upturn in form and performance levels in recent months since Moyes came in.
There has been talk that Moyes could be handed a new contract if West Ham end the season strongly and the Express believe that the Scotsman is planning to stay at the club beyond the end of the season and that’s illustrated by the scouting and recruitment revamp that’s ongoing following the Tony Henry scandal.

Moyes revealed earlier this month that there could be some major changes on the horizon to the club’s recruitment process, including chairman David Sullivan having a reduced say on the ins and outs at the club, and Sullivan himself confirmed that there will be widespread changes made in this area during the summer.
Like most Premier League clubs, West Ham are doing their due diligence on potential summer recruits during the final months of the season and Moyes is reportedly looking at several young talents he wants to sign in the summer – leading us to believe he feels he’s in the job for the long-term.
The Express note that along with Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, West Ham are scouting and keeping tabs on Metz teenager Vincent Thill and FC Twente’s 21-year-old goalkeeper Joel Drommel as he looks to add youth to his ageing Hammers squad.
