West Ham brought in David Moyes to perform a firefighter job after they dismissed Slaven Bilic earlier in the season and so far, he’s done a decent job, but it doesn’t appear to have persuaded the club to keep him on beyond the season.
Moyes has won five of 19 games in charge of the Hammers but has seen them rise to 12th in the Premier League table but given the nature of the bottom half they only remain three points clear of the drop.
The Telegraph report that even if Moyes succeeds in his efforts to steer West Ham clear of the drop, he won’t remain in charge next season.
After only being brought in on a deal until the end of the season it was always likely that Moyes was to leave after the campaign whatever happens but it appears as if that decision has now been made.
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez and Huddersfield boss David Wagner are two candidates the Hammers covet highly in their next managerial search.
