David Moyes is dealing with a huge amount of injuries at the moment and once again, the West Ham board have failed to appropriately back their manager.
The club recouped well over £20m through the sales of Diafra Sakho and Andre Ayew and their only permanent signing was the arrival of Jordan Hugill from Preston, a fine enough player but not one who has Premier League experience.

West Ham’s dismal January was compounded when a report surfaced on deadline day that revealed that the club’s Head of Recruitment, Tony Henry, send out an email to an agent saying the club ‘didn’t want to sign any more Africans’ which isn’t a good look considering they had sold two already in the window.
Moyes’ threadbare squad welcomed Joao Mario on loan from Inter Milan as well but it was nowhere near enough and the club again proved the they are lacking a long-term strategy and are adopting a window-by-window approach to transfers.
A total shambles.
