West Ham have received a much-needed boost as top striker target Fyodor Smolov has rejected a move to Swansea today, according to the Daily Mail.
Krasnodar rejected a £11m bid from the Hammers for Smolov back in December but David Moyes has been reluctant to go in with a second bid for the attacker despite keeping tabs on his situation.
Swansea are believed to have submitted a £15m bid for the Russia international captain but the striker himself has turned down the Swans as he prefers a move to London if he is to leave Krasnodar at all today.
Zenit St. Petersburg have now also joined the race to sign Smolov who has 10 goals in 13 league games so far this season.
Moyes is set to allow Andre Ayew to complete a £18m move back to Swansea today but faces a race against the clock to reinvest that money into his threadbare squad.
