West Ham are desperate for midfield reinforcements before tonight’s transfer deadline and Anderlecht star Leander Dendoncker is high on David Moyes’ shortlist of signings.
The Belgian holding midfielder has been on West Ham’s radar all month with the club scouting him on a number of occasions but it’s always been maintained that the two clubs were some way apart on their valuations.

That appears to have been confirmed after reports emerged that West Ham have seen a bid rejected by Anderlecht for Dendoncker today but they could return with a second offer.

Anderlecht are willing to sell the midfielder if their valuation is met in full but so far West Ham are reluctant to bid close to that £20m figure. The 22-year-old is understood to be interested in a move to the Premier League.
Anderlecht want to keep Dendoncker until the end of the season, unless someone is willing to pay around £20m.

Lille standout Ibrahim Amadou is also wanted by West Ham but their loan offer, which remains on the table, is not expected to be accepted given interest from Crystal Palace.
