West Ham have emerged as being interested in signing out of favour Leicester City striker Islam Slimani on deadline day according to Sky Sports.
The Hammers have got a host of problems up front with injuries to Andy Carroll, Mark Arnautovic, Manuel Lanzini and Diafro Sakho and Andre Ayew are both heading out the club this month.
The Foxes are prepared to let him go this month but would favour a deal on a permanent basis rather than a loan deal to get him off their wages.
The player is currently injured but it’s thought that the Hammers would still be interested in signing the player as they hope to beat the drop. Newcastle are also interested in the striker.

The 29-year-old has featured 17 times this season but most of these have come from the bench as Jamie Vardy gets the majority of the minutes out of the two.
He has netted five goals this term and could be a good signing for the London club.
