With their search for new recruits before tonight’s transfer deadline well and truly on, West Ham have made an approach to take Lille defender Ibrahim Amadou on loan until the end of the season.
Sky Sports have reported this morning that the Hammers have offered Lille a £2m loan fee to take the former France U19 international on loan, with the deal featuring an option to make the move permanent in the summer for £14m.
Crystal Palace have also been strongly linked with the 24-year-old and have had multiple permanent offers rejected already this month, while GFFN confirm that a third Premier League club have joined the race to sign him.

Amadou can play both centre-back and holding midfield which would provide the Hammers with excellent cover in two positions of need.
Anderlecht star Leander Dendoncker also remains on West Ham’s radar while Andre Ayew is expected to complete a £18m return to Swansea.
