West Ham seems to have open talks with Russian Premier Liga side Krasnodar over the possibility of signing their striker Fedor Smolov before January transfer window closes on Wednesday, according to reports. Boris Dimitrov, reporter for FootballPredictions.com, which is expert in Russian football thinks Smolov could add some value to the Premier League
The Premier League club has been said to be desperate of signing a new forward for the team as Sky Sports reporter has claimed on Monday that the Hammers have reportedly began to negotiate with the Russian club over Smolov, but were said to have a disagreement over the terms and offer on a deal.
The 27-year-old, who has capped Russia 28 times in the International level has been active for his team this season as he made an impressive stat, after bagging 10 goals in 13 match appearances for the Russian club.
Now, according to reports, West Ham are willing to table a loan deal offer in hopes of triggering a buy clause later for Krasnodar, but the Russian side are not willing to loan the striker, but wants the player to leave on a permanent deal with asking a fee worth £12million for their forward.
Smolov has proved to be deadly in front of goal last season as he went on to put 25 goals to his name in 31 appearances across all competitions. The Hammers will take on Crystal Palace in the Olympic Stadium in their next Premier League match. According to Boris’ Premier League predictions the game will end in a 1-1 draw.
