West Ham are eager to bring in a striker before tomorrow’s transfer deadline after allowing Diafra Sakho to join Rennes and they may have received a boost in their pursuit of Krasnodar star Fyodor Smolov.

Valued at £15m by the Russian side, Smolov is one of West Ham’s top targets this month and it’s been revealed that Krasnodar are willing to accept an offer of just £12m to part ways with their star man.

Smolov has netted 10 goals in 13 league games so far this season and would offer a different option in attack which is exactly what the Hammers need with Andy Carroll sidelined with a fractured foot for the next few months.
Andre Ayew has also been linked with a return to Swansea this month which could leave Moyes incredibly short of options in the attacking areas.
It’s understood that West Ham want a loan-to-buy deal for Smolov but Krasnodar would only be interested in a permanent sale and have even dropped their demands to force it through.
