West Ham have a serious tug of war with Everton over the transfer of Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht, as the midfielder has been offered to the Merseysiders, according to Football London.
The midfielder has been playing in centre back recently, due to injuries in the Anderlecht team. Stuart Pearce went to see him play in defence as the 3rd placed side won 1-0 against Gent.
It is believed that Dendoncker is keen on a move to West Ham, knowing about their interest, and the deal would be around £17m, but the Hammers will not go above £20m if Anderlecht reject their first bid.

Anderlecht, currently two places behind Jupiler League leaders Club Brugge, want to keep star man Dendoncker to try and fight for the league, which is why they are keen on selling him to Everton.
Sam Allardyce has reportedly said that if he is sold to Everton, he will loan back Dendoncker for the rest of the season, but David Moyes is unlikely to agree to do that as he sees midfield as his priority.
The transfer window shuts in five days, and so the deal would have to be done quickly if the Hammers were to get their hands on the 22-year-old, who is seen as one of Europe’s brightest young midfielders.
