West Ham United have stepped up their pursuit of Norwich star James Maddison by making a £12 million bid for the player, as reported by the Guardian.
The 21-year-old has been brilliant for the Championship club this season and has progressed to win an England Under-21 cap, as well as winning his side’s Player of the Month award four times in a row.
The Hammers manager David Moyes is said to have watched the player in Chelsea’s FA Cup replay win over Norwich last week.

He is being traced by a number of other clubs, with both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also linked. The Hammers are seemingly the first to lodge an official bid, though, if the Guardian are to be believed.
Although, Norwich are likely to hold out for more as they value the player highly, given his undoubted importance to the team.
Maddison joined Norwich in 2016 but this is the first season in which he has played on a regular basis. He is certainly catching the eye, with some glittering performances in the Championship.
