According to Calcio Mercato, Inter Milan and West Ham are close to completing an agreement for the transfer of Portugal midfielder Joao Mario.
West Ham seem keen to sign a midfielder this January and Mario has become the most likely to come in, despite recent links to Andre Gomes, Leander Dendoncker and Jonjo Shelvey.
The deal for the Portuguese international, who won the 2016 European Championships, will be a loan with an option to buy him permanently for €4om at the end of this season.
The final thing standing in the way of a deal being compete is the different valuations of the loan fee. Inter are demanding a €2m loan fee, but West Ham have only offered €1m at this time. Once the clubs agree that fee, the deal should go through as planned.
