West Ham are keen to bolster their midfield this month and Lyon’s Clement Grenier is a player that the Hammers are reportedly targeting.
Having made just one Ligue 1 appearance so far this season, Grenier’s future with Lyon is up in the air with his contract expiring at the end of the season and he’s able to hold talks over a pre-contract move this month.
Lyon are reportedly ready to part ways with the France international this month if he can agree a contract elsewhere, and rumours have claimed that West Ham have submitted a three-year contract offer to the 27-year-old.

Grenier has struggled with injuries throughout his career, missing 89 games due to injury in the last six seasons alone and a member of his entourage has told RMC Sport that it’s still possible that he can complete a move this month.
The Lyon academy graduate has 18 goals and 28 assists in 154 career appearances for the Ligue 1 club, but questions surrounding his fitness should have the Hammers thinking twice about making a move. Inter Milan are also interested in signing him.
