Reece Burke has spoken to the media and has said that he wishes to stay at West Ham, but also that Bolton Wanderers are keen on bringing him back on loan, according to The Evening Standard.
Burke was on loan at the Macron Stadium for the first half of this season, after Wanderers’ promotion to the Championship. However, the Lancashire side sit just one point and one spot outside of the relegation zone.
But in Burke’s final two games for Bolton, they picked up crucial 1-0 wins away at Sheffield United and at home to Hull City, which see them not rock bottom of the table.

Burke has only featured twice for West Ham since travelling back down south, both of the matches against Shrewsbury, where he scored the solitary goal in the replay to send the Hammers into the Fourth Round to face Wigan Athletic away.
About scoring the winner, the defender said (via Evening Standard):
It was a proud moment for me and my family. I didn’t really know what to do with myself when I scored and it’s a moment in my life I will never forget.
He has also spoken about his short-term future. He has stated that he wishes to stay and fight for his place in the starting XI of his local and childhood team, but he is open to loan moves as he is such a young player looking for minutes.
That’s a discussion I need to have with the manager in the next few days. You have to work your way up and being here and sitting on the bench is not ideal. I just want to play football.
