After being recalled from his loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach, many West Ham fans were hoping that Reece Oxford would get a run in the first-team, almost 18 months since his last appearance for the club.
Unfortunately, his return to the side has been delayed after he picked up a sprained ankle in training this week, David Moyes has confirmed.

The England U20 international made just four appearances for Monchengladbach in the first half of the season and Moyes is keen to see what he can offer his struggling West Ham side.
Reece Oxford kicked the ground in training. He kicked the ground and it’s given him a sprained ankle so he probably might not be fit for Thursday.
Oxford looks set to miss out on West Ham’s trip to Wembley tomorrow night to take on Spurs but should he recover, he could be in line to make his Hammers return in the FA Cup third round away at Shrewsbury on Sunday, with Moyes hinting that a number of young players could feature.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a permanent return to German football with Monchengladbach and Red Bull Leipzig, but he’s highly regarded at West Ham and the club have no plans to sell him.
