West Ham are planning a January spending spree to bring in two or three new players and as is the nature of the business, players may have to leave in order to pave the way for new recruits.
One of the players reportedly on the chopping block is Diafra Sakho. The striker is currently third-choice at the club behind the oft-injured Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez and has already tried to engineer a move away from the club once this season.
Sakho’s contract expires at the end of the season and it’s uncertain whether the club have any plans to renew his deal, but he could stay in English football if he were to leave the club.

Championship high-fliers Cardiff are said to be interested in signing the Senegal international when the transfer window opens next months but West Ham’s £12m asking price could be a stumbling block.
The 27-year-old is yet to start a Premier League game this season for West Ham but has made 13 substitute appearances, scoring once in a vital 1-0 home win against Swansea.
