West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart will miss this weekend’s game against Chelsea, putting fears into his World Cup chances this summer, as per a report from The Times.
A lack of regular first-team football will threaten Hart’s chances of being picked by Gareth Southgate as England’s number one in Russia for the 2018 World Cup.
Adrian was in goal for the Hammers’ 2-1 loss at the Etihad against Manchester City, which Hart was unable to play in as he is on a season-long loan from the league leaders.
West Ham have conceded 32 goals this season, with Hart conceding 30 until the defeat in Manchester, more than any other goalkeeper in the English top flight, including conceding four goals in matches against Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton.

The heavy defeats leave West Ham second bottom, just a point ahead of Swansea City, who is the last team Joe Hart kept a clean sheet against back in September, in a 1-0 Hammers win.
England manager Gareth Southgate has said Hart is England’s best goalkeeper but also revealed that he will only choose players to go to Russia who are featuring regularly for their clubs.
West Ham have nine games in the next month, in the Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup, so Hart will have plenty of chances to win his place back.
However, he will still face competition from Jordan Pickford, Tom Heaton, Fraser Forster and Jack Butland.
