West Ham are yet to give up on a deal for Andre Gomes, the Daily Mail understand.
The Barcelona midfielder is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with London rivals Tottenham, but the Hammers will not give up without a fight.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined Barcelona last summer for a combined fee of around 55 million euros, however, since then he has fallen out of favour at Camp Nou, and is looking for an escape route.

Although Spurs lead the race for the Portuguese international’s signature, Slaven Bilic’s side have said they won’t give in easily, and are on ‘standy’ to intervene tonight.
As they sit at the foot of the Premier League tabel, it may be evident that the Hammers still need some new additions at the London Stadium, despite the high profile arrivals of Javier Hernandez, Pablo Zabaleta and Marko Arnautovic.
But West Ham will know they have to act fast if they are to beat Tottenham to the signing of Gomes.
